Volunteer with us!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Symbiotic Restoration. Volunteers will gain valuable field and technical experience for careers in ecological restoration and natural resource management. Volunteers will help us with beaver dam analog construction and willow planting.
Provided hand tools you will use:
shovel, rock bar, lopper, hammer, post pounder, hand saw
You must provide your own:
Sturdy boots (ideally waterproof), pants, hat, eye protection, gloves, sunscreen, and water. Long sleeves recommended.
Please bring if you have your own:
waders (chest or hip), knee pads.
Volunteers will need to be well prepared for working outside and should plan on being exposed to long periods of sun, insects, etc. Please be prepared for all weather conditions.
Volunteers must sign up through the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Earth Team Volunteer Program. Please fill out the application (located at the bottom of this page) and send it to symbioticrestoration@gmail.com. Once NRCS approves the application you can join the team! Hours must be logged and turned in to NRCS each month.
Dates are likely to change and are tentative. Future projects will appear for later season as weather and fire fluctuates. Typically our season lasts from May- November.
